We’re all a bit different from each other, either in the way we process things, the stuff that interests us or our skills. It’s ok to be different and have different abilities than one another.
Some of us are neurodivergent. This just means that our brains are wired a bit differently than ‘neurotypical’ people (people who have the most common type of brain).
Neurodivergent people are all unique individuals, who experience their conditions, such as autism, differently. Most types of disabilities exist on a spectrum. This means that not everyone who has a disability, or is neurodivergent has the same needs.
Neurodivergence can include conditions or labels such as:
Autism
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
